Hey Mike,
Well, the ice finally melted off our lake up here and a got a chance to ride
the sweet F-18 you
built for me. I gotta tell you the board is awesome.
I
love the custom
artwork you did for my "Half Moon Bay" theme and the board rides as good as
it looks! I wanted to ride it before I show it off to some of the shops up
here (so I know what I'm talking about). Now I'm ready to spread the word
about your boards up here.
Just wanted to thank you again and send you a couple photos. The first is
my one week old son shredding it up on Dad's new board. The other photo was
taken this past weekend when the lake was still about 20% ice! As you can
imagine the water was cold so ignore the serious look on my face, I was
loving the new board.
Cheers!
Jon Johnston.

Dude! The board is completely sick.
I can't believe how fast it is. With my old board it was like I was
fighting to keep up with the boat.
Now it's like the sweet spot is three times as big. It's completely
effortless.
I am confident that if I show my board to all the big wakeboard shops in
Atlanta,
they will be totally interested in what you are doing out there in Cali.
Again, thank you so much.
Sincerely,
Rob Lingenfelter

The board got here in plenty of time and she couldn't have
been happier. It exceeded my expectations. Thanks for the great
service and patience while in the design phase. I'll get you some
great pics of Lisa riding it as soon as we can get the boat in for the
season.

Mike,
I'm sure you get messages like this relatively often, but I just wanted to
let you know how much I am enjoying the board you shaped for me. I know it
was a bitch for you to shape, due to my issues with the color, your issues
with the foam, etc, but it was totally worth it. Dave did some killer art
work on the top and bottom and I had it sealed with waxless surf systems.
I've taken it out the last few days and I don't want to ride anything else.
It snaps great on the turns, rides like a shortboard but catches waves like
a longboard. Brilliant. If you ever doubt yourself as a shaper, give me a
call and I will remind you why you must go on.
Kudos to you.

Mike - just wanted to give some feedback on the board.
Apart from the superior glasswork and the sick
pinlines, the board flies. Had it out on a clean,
decent sized wave recently and it was sooo fast. Lots
of extra float and paddle too. Thanks again for the
board. |

Hey Mike,
Just wanted to say thanks so much for everything.
Someone asked me how the board works and I told them
the board is a miracle. I'm still smiling. |

I just had to write and tell; FIRST that you
really made my friend Denise's
night last weekend when you called her. Apparently everyone thought she was
talking to a country / rock star; she was sooo giddy about talking to you,
the designer of her board. So thank you for doing that, she is a big Mike
Walker fan and loves her F-18.
Second, I RODE that F-18 yesterday and that best way to describe MINIMALLY
is FANTASTIC. I mean, I love my Thresher Shredder. BUT I LOVE that F-18. It
was the smoothest and calmest ride I have had on a board, VERY controlled
and easy movements and I was showing it no mercy. I will have to send a pic
because I could not get over how awesome it was. Jaw was hanging down and I
loved every minute of that ride. |

Just wanted to let you know I rode your 5'6"
Twin/wooden keel in contest this weekend and it did awesome!
It was super mushy and the board still caught everything I went for. Thanks
for putting out such a good product. |

I just wanted to say thanks for the great
customer service and for building such
awesome boards. I got the leash and pad you sent me and just wanted to let
you know
how happy I am with the boards you shaped for me. Today was a pretty crap
day here
in NY and I was not very optimistic about having a fun session but my 5'9"
quad
saved the day. After I got out of the water I knew I had to write you and
let you
know what a difference that board has been making for me. I have a trip to
Baja
Norte next month and I am hoping to finally get to use the 6'3" M16 quad you
shaped
me in some good waves. You can be sure that the next board I order will be
another
Walker!

Just wanted to thank you again for the board, it
couldn't be better.
This summer hasn't been so kind to us as far as waves go over here on
the East Coast, but I finally got to give my X3 a real test the other
day and it was amazing.
A friend of mine liked it so much he picked up a 6'6" M16 from Marty the
night before he left for Bali. He sent me an email yesterday telling me
how sick it worked in pumping Bali barrels.
Thanks again

Thanks Mike!

Mike, thanks to YOU my brother, at 39, I'm freakin' myself out with vast
improvements in my
ability and technique. These boards I actually have to grow into which is
such a 'relief' from the usual
struggle. Not to toot my own horn, but I've been turnin' some heads on my
miracle model X-3 round tail
(see photos) in Nicaragua and beyond. People are like, 'Are you Brad Gerlach?',
and I'm like 'Naw... just Brad.
Put me on the team Mr. Magic Hands and we'll develop a 'Fins Out At 50'
model'!
Keep the faith and stoke alive!

As for the board, the more I look at the board
the more impressed I am. The outline is unreal, the rails/tail/nose are
unreal, the glassing is unreal,
pinlines unreal. The board just looks sick. This is my third walker ( 6.1
twin keel, 7.10 rocket fish, and now 9.6 longboard)
and certainly not my last! Thanks for making such an insane board for me.
Now all we need is a little juice in the water so I can take it for a spin! |

Hi Walker,
I've been riding my new 7'2 epoxy speed egg for the past four days,
and I want to thank you for making me another great board.
It is very responsive; turns easy and I can take off deeper than I
used to on my old speed egg. Nice rocker! |

This is the HOTTEST
BOARD!!! Thanks again Mike.

Matt Doherty, New York |
I recently got my second board from you, it was the red thumb tail quad with that white band around the deck. I had it out last saturday in 6-8ft offshore waves, basically as good as it gets around long island and it was sick. It was making such late drops and it was really liking the barrels. I am so stoked on it. You also shaped me a 5'8 quad that i got back in january and yet again, i loved it. Had it out from knee high long island to 6 ft barreling jersey and fun groundswell in puerto rico and it worked amazing in everything. I am so stoked on both of the boards and im sure you'll be hearing from me soon again for a nice semi-gun. Thanks again! |
|
Adam Thomas, New York |
Hey Mike, I wanna thank you again for shaping me such a killer board (LTD). Took it out in head high slop yesterday and it flew over flat sections and just made those dumpy, sloppy waves so fun! |
|
Ken Delrossi, New York |
Had my Walker Twin Keel out the other day in head high glass. Lots of wind from the speed this thing goes at... Dried my teeth out! LOVE IT! |
|
Jack Brull, New York |
My board arrived in pristine condition. Nice work!!- The board is sick- I also really dig the bottom contours. I had it out today in some waist high slop. Not the best surf but it worked great. I am very happy with it. Definitely will be great with winter gear on. I am very stoked and will certainly recommend your board to our brothers on the east coast- You will be hearing from me again next order Thanks again- |
|
Jason Kern, Florida |
Walker-
Thank you for an incredible board. It has re-invigorated my short boarding
life! It performs just as you described it; perfect for the mushy surf we
had this past weekend where it held its speed through the flat spots, and
sprung up the face when the sections opened up. I love the feel of the
diamond tail as it turns on a dime and is incredibly reactive. I hope to
utilize The Walker Project again and will definitely refer you to anyone I
know searching for a new ride. All the best to you and your company |
|
Ed Sullivan, Ohio |
Mike, I rode your wake surfboard again last night. I rode it for about 45 min straight. We slowed the boat down and once I got used to the board – WOW. I probably made three times as many turns riding that board than anything else I’ve ridden – My legs and back are still sore from the work out!. |
|
Johnny McManus, San Diego |
Hey, thanks for the deal on that 6.1 I picked up last Monday, surfed north side of Scripps this morn and the backside hits on that thing are so clean! I’m stoked. I know Ryan Schnell and Coco Jones, I guess I’m on x3's from now on.....thanks!! |
|
Mandi Dewees, New Jersey |
My boyfriend Mike bought one of your surfboards this summer and he can't stop telling everyone how amazing it is! I believe his friend bought one as well! I watch him surf all of the time and he has never moved so fast, turned so well or had such a huge smile on his face the entire time he's out there, (and for hours/days after)! It is an amazing board and suits him well...so thank you for the entertainment! |
|
Mike, New Jersey |
Just wanted to thank you again for the amazing board. I've ridden my Retrofish in everything from 2 foot slop up to 6 foot glass and the board is sick. It has definitely taken my riding to a new level. Thanks!!! |
|
Ken D, New York |
Got my 6' twin keel this week. Very happy! It was waist high to nothing today and I still fun. Thanks to the east coast rep and a great board maker. I feel a Walker quad coming on this winter!!!! |
|
Scott Marvin, Florida |
Mike finally rode the M16 this board was going mental last night in solid 8-10 foot surf and it felt like I was riding my 6.2 X3!? It was taking the latest drops and liking it. Thanks for all the killer boards! |
|
Adam Thomas, New York |
You rule Mike...best customer relations I've ever had on ordering a custom. I'm definitely gonna order a bunch more from you in the near future...those quads are next on my list! |
|
Froi Ascano, San Diego |
Love the board. Super fast, super loose and light. The X3 is a perfect board for all conditions. Thanks man! I'm sold! |
|
Jonathan Santos, San Diego |
Hey Mike, I just wanted to let you know that the quad you shaped me is insane. The thing just takes off and turns so easy. It took me a couple waves to get used to it, but considering the conditions that first session, I probably should've been bogging and pumping the whole time. And, surprisingly (to me), the hook tail is super easy with the rail to rail transitions. This board is sick. I'm pretty excited about it and definitely want to try out a diamond tail pretty soon. |
|
Martin Brull, New York |
Hey Mike, just wanted to thank you for the beautiful 5.4 LTD Twin Keel. The board has far surpassed my expectations. It's so fast and the turning radius is so small. It has performed perfectly in knee high grovel to overhead bowls! It has the flow of a retro board with the capability of high performance turns. I would definitely recommend that everyone own one of your twin keels. Thanks again. |
|
Jimmy B, Florida |
I wanted to fill you in on my new board experience. As you know I was hoping to get the board before my honeymoon, which I did just in time. Stoked!!!! My first session on my Walker rocket was in the Dominican Republic on chest high semi choppy surf. The board rode great. The next day waves 4 to 6 glassy perfect point breaks at Enquentros. I put in a smaller skeg fin on my 5.6 rounded pin rocket and let me tell you what, this board rocks. Mike the rounded pin egg shape rockets seem to ride in a range of waves from 1/2 foot Florida sand bars to over head reef breaks. And that’s with a small trail fin!? There is room for more size. So, my board rides insane. Thanks Mike! |
|
Jason Billings, San Diego |
My boards are working really well. I got third at the West Coast College Championships and at State I got first over all. Thanks! |
|
Ed Geary, Florida |
Hi Mike! When I got home last evening from my backpacking trip, the Skiers Choice board had arrived and was begging me to open the box. Man, that thing is simply gorgeous!! I can't believe how light it is. Just wanted to thank you again for being involved in this. We will make sure to get a good digital photo of the Skiers Choice reps with your board. |
|
TIM HABER, SAN DIEGO |
THE ROCKET FISH IS AMAZING!! IT WORKED IN HUGE SURF AND SMALL SURF.IT WAS THE ONLY BOARD I USED ON MY MENTAWAI TRIP. GREAT ALL AROUND BOARD. |
|
Brent Allen, San Diego. |
Mike, once again thanks for the boards. The surf in Chile has been firing for the past three months and my boards have been handling perfectly. hope the surf is treating you well back in the states. |
|
Mark Turner, San Diego |
Hey buddy. Funniest thing, I was giving blood the other day and the nurse taking my blood knew you. I was wearing the flame shirt and she was like, hey you know Mike? She reps for some moto place up by PSG or something. She was blond, pretty cute. Don't remember her name or the name of the company, sorry. But I thought you might like to know that the Walker fan base has made it into the medical world!!! |
|
Christine Brown, San Diego |
I decided to check out your website when I saw some kid at school wearing a Walker sweatshirt and I was like yeah! I grew up with that guy!..I felt cool, lol! My family went to Hawaii and there were Walker stickers EVERYWHERE, we were so excited! There was one on the sliding glass doors in both our rooms!? |
|
Charlie, Pacific Beach |
Hey MIKE: Just wanted to say hey and thanks again for the board. So Far I have brought your board from Hawaii to Hong Kong to Guam to the Sunway Lagoon in Malaysia. My next adventure is to Perth, Tazmania OZ, and then back to Hawaii, Then Back to SD, To pick up another gnarly stick. The Words out, WALKER SURF. The Only Way. Thanks Mike! |
|
Roy Brownlow, North Carolina |
Mike: A friend of mine, Brad Ctibor, showed me one of his Walker sticks on his last visit home. The shape and design details of that board just blew me away. I literally bought it right from under him. It was love at first wave for my son for who I bought the board. He told me, Dad, you have got to get yourself one of these, it's crazy! Of course I could tell from just holding and looking at the stick that your boards are the sickest! Your boards are the epitome for state of the art surfboard design and style. Anytime you're in our area, especially when hurricanes are approaching and are looking for a local boat guide to take you to some sick pits, look me up. Shaka. |
|
Alex Chen, San Diego |
The 5.11 you made for me back in December has been treating me well. She handles and looks like a dream. Thanks for everything. |
|
Brent Allen, San Diego. |
Mike, My new RetroFish rides like no other. It is for sure the best board that I have yet to ride. It is fun in the mushy surf as well as big Blacks. Thanks for all of your time and shapes. Keep on rockin in the free world. |
|
Sean, San Diego |
Just
rode the board for the first time since joining the team and honestly it is
the best stick I have ever ridden. Cant wait to see how it handles some big
blacks....Thanks Walker |
|
Danielle Dickerson, San Diego |
I was talking to one of the FCS reps about some new fin they were coming out with, and the guy asked me what kind of board I ride, and so I told him that I ride for Walker, and he said that he had been hearing all sorts of good things about you, and that you are one of the biggest up and coming shapers, and before this rep could finish singing your praises this other rep, I don't remember where he was from, starts going off on his own tangent of how great of a shaper you are and how many good things he has heard about your boards, so I naturally had to tell them both that they were preaching to the choir and that I have been stoked on your shapes since the first time I rode one, it was pretty cool, Just thought you'd like to know. |
|
Grant, San Diego |
Hi Mike, Just wanted to say thanks a lot for my new board. I'm super stoked on it. Gotten some good ones at Torrey Pines, Scripps, Cliffs, OB Jetty. Its fun to be back home on a nice new board. Thanks again. |
|
Craig Hollingsworth, California. |
Mike, just wanted to drop a note to thank you for the red retro fish you shaped me some time ago. You nailed it with this thing. The board has been quite the conversation piece in and out of the water. People can't believe how fast it goes, and the paint job screams style. As far as my testimonial goes it truly works well in one foot dribble, when I'm playing with my kids, and I surfed true overhead Pleasure Point a few weeks back and the fish flew. I hope things are going well. Thanks again! |
|
Chris Prelle, New York |
I just wanted to say thanks for the boards, they are awesome. I would of wrote you sooner, but I have been too busy surfing. I really love the board. I am having a great time with it. You guys rock, thank you so much. |
